KOCHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has heaped fulsome praise on Kerala’s Ayurvedic tradition.

Addressing a massive youth meet at Kochi Monday evening, the Prime Minister Traditional medicine is a great legacy and one of the major areas where Kerala’s strength lay. The knowledge and expertise in traditional medical practice that Kerala has gained over thousands of years can be of great help for the entire world.

The Prime Minister pointed out that he had himself spoken about it in his monthly ruminations titled ‘Mann Ki Baat’. On one occasion, he had spoken about how the daughter of Kenya’s former Prime Minister had regained her eyesight following Ayurvedic treatment in Kerala.

“We have to nurture Kerala’s expertise in traditional medicine,” he added.
